Ultra-Fluffy Mashed Potatoes - Kelsey


I grew up eating mashed potatoes prepared in a controversial way. With a hand mixer. I told Missy this last weekend and she said "don't get they gloopy?" Or something like that. If they are gloopy, then I like gloopy potatoes 😂

Anyways, to experiment I bought a potato ricer. We'll get to that.

First, my mom was kind enough to peel and cut the potatoes for me. I forgot to take a picture. 

Kenji has you melt the butter in the milk. I've heard of this but have never done it myself.

I drained the potatoes and got to ricing.

This was a lot of work. I can't imagine doing this on Thanksgiving when you're cooking for a lot of people.

Add the milk and butter and stir.

They were very...light and fluffy. Lol. They were good and very buttery. It's just not my favorite texture of mashed potato.
